Hi, I am Roberto Tambunan.
A software engineer based in Tokyo, Japan.
I love to craft impactful and interesting things. Now, I'm focused on backend area and system architecture. Currently working in PayPay株式会社, I started from Dec 2021.
Previously, I was a Software Engineer Lead in Tokopedia, developed and maintained Search and Autocomplete features.
I was born and raised in Medan. Got my bachelor's degree at Del Institut of Technology. My interest in the world of software engineering began there.
I spend my free time to sleep, code, travel, read, and sometime play video games
I will summarize all of my work experience for you.
I'm working together with my awesome teammates (from Spain, Hongkong, Bangladesh, and others) to develop and maintain Paypay Discovery features, such as Notification Center, Banners, Favourite Folders, Search, and many more interesting projects!!

I worked together with my fellow software engineers and various stackholders to develop and maintain Tokopedia's Search Bar and Global Search. What we do is help users find their needs efficiently. Goods, Tickets, Vouchers, Shops, Profiles, many more, We serve them all for you <3
I love to talk to various people too, so I take part on interview session on Tokopedia, for newkama (our new joiner), Tokopedia Intern, and Tokopedia Dev Camp. And also take part as a speaker, both for inside and outside event.
Almost the same with all above, but I take Individual Contributor in some parts of my works.
